A new video about any phone is exciting. As ceaselessly curious providers of mobile devices, we’re always keeping an eye out for the latest news and reports on handsets which are going to be released. We believe quite firmly that it’s essential to keep an eye on the future as well as an eye here, in the present. 

So when details about the soon to be released Mate 30 dropped in the form of the video, we were right there to get a look at it. Now, we were very impressed with what we saw, so we are going to be taking a look at the highlights, to round up and re-cap on what’s going to be taking place.

All-New Features

There were plenty of features which we like the look of, and we are going to be talking about some of them here and now. First of all, let’s examine the teardrop notch, which is making a reappearance from the P30 Pro. It was a popular feature on that device, so we are sure that it will be equally favourable on the new model. The brand-new power button further accentuates the new exterior design. As a silver lining surrounds a red colour, this is incredibly stylish and eye-catching all at once.

Another exterior feature to note is the camera set up, which features four cameras arranged in a triangular fashion with one in the middle. We think this looks incredibly refined and offers a unique photography experience, and there’s also rumours that the periscope zoom feature will be making an appearance, so that’s something to look forward to. 

The video also served as an excellent way of showcasing the advanced software and circuitry which has gone into this new phone. We have the very powerful Kirin 975 HiAI chipset at work. There is more than enough power contained within this chipset to grant you all of the different tasks and features available, and you’ve also got the provision for 5G when it becomes available. In an increasingly 5G dominated world, the best mobile phones will be identified by their ability to handle this new network coverage.

Okay, so let’s take a look at some of the other features that people are interested in exploring. The screen is huge. They’ve gone for a considerable size, with very little in the way of edges or even a bezel. It helps to make sure that you get as much screen as you possibly can from using the phone, which is something highly priced in flagship models. There’s also been a much more inventive colour scheme this time around, going for a purple and blue as two of the available options. 

Something that we’ve also discovered is that the back of the phone seems to be comprised of reflective yet stylish material – potentially glass or plastic. Whatever it is, it looks incredible, and offers a new perspective on what the bottom of the phone should look like.

In summary, this looks fantastic, and we can’t wait to explore its features when it comes out. You can tell that this is going to be an incredible flagship model.
