25 Feb Huawei P40 Rumours
It’s safe to say there are hundreds of Huawei P40 rumours circling round the tech community recently. With such a large fanbase, we’re not too surprised.
With so many rumours surrounding about the massive upcoming release, it’s easy to get confused as to what’s really happening. An important thing to remember right now is that it’s all speculations, not much has been confirmed around the P40.
Huawei P40 Design
There are so many leaks of the new Huawei P40 design that no one’s exactly sure which one they should trust. We have however, got a pretty good idea of what we can expect from the tech giants ahead of the 2020 announcement.
A huge expected detail in the P40 is the camera pushed into the corner on the back of the phone in a very neat pod. It will be nice to see whether Huawei venture into a quad-lens camera with this range. It’s no secret that Huawei know how to build a smartphone camera effortlessly, as shown on all of their handsets. Their camera technology is always pushing boundaries.
The P40 series is expected to stick with a classic, professional design with a glass back. Leaks currently only suggest there will be a black and white version of the handset. However, Huawei are always releasing their handsets with at least one fun choice for those who enjoy something a little more out there.
Huawei P40 Release Date
The launch of the Huawei P40 is due be announced on March 26th, 2020 at an event in Paris. After the cancellation of MWC 2020, all big tech brands have had to find new ways to announce their next big thing to hit the community. Huawei’s CEO, Richard Yu, announced the confirmation of the announcement date during a replacement event online.
Price Rumours
It is expected that the P40 will be priced at around the current pricing of the P30 and P30 Pro, just slightly more. If this is the case, the new additions to the P range are sure to go down a treat with more than just Huawei fans. Such a reliable, user friendly yet feature packed handset at such a low price is nearly unheard of.
More Huawei P40 Rumours
We’re expecting that there will be no Google apps installed on the P40 due to the recent ban initiated in 2019. With this ban implemented, it means Huawei will have to use their own version of the Play Store as well as apps such as Google Maps, Gmail and Google News. It will be exciting to see what exactly Huawei have been working on in that respect! A huge rumour going around at the moment is that the new releases will not be available in the US following last year’s news between Google and Huawei.
With the growing need for 5G technology, leaks have hinted that all new releases may be compatible with 5G. This would be great competition for the recently released S20 range, which bought 3 new 5G handsets to the market. There’s a huge need for a wider range of 5G compatible mobile phones so that each user is able to make use of the new technology whilst not having to compromise.
We’re looking forward to the March 2020 event in Paris so we can see exactly what is on offer from Huawei this year. It’s sure to be something that will knock everyone right off their feet.
