03 Mar iPhone 11 Rumours Swirling
We know that Apple plans their releases for September, but it is almost inevitable that rumours start to circulate in advance and this year they are earlier than ever. According to as yet as unconfirmed sources, they are planning to be trialling several concepts for their 2019 iPhone releases in the next few months. At this stage, it is always tricky to know what is real and what is hopeful fan leaks, and even what curve balls are leaked to throw us off the scent, but we still have fun reading them and coming up with ideas of our own.
Bigger Advances on the Cards
One thing that was noted last year was that the step up from iPhone X to iPhone XS was not as significant as the waiting media would have like to have seen. While there were positive changes they were not really outstanding or that head turning, and it is likely that this year’s release will be out to floor us all with many changes. One thing rumoured for massive overhauling is the rear camera, and some would argue that it is about time to with other manufactures outshining the iPhone with camera gear.
Waterproof to the Max
The next iPhone, whether it is going to be called iPhone 11 or something else radical is also rumoured to be so waterproof you can take it out into a rainstorm and the screen will not only stay protected from the elements but be totally responsive even when wet.
How Many Phones?
After last years launch of the triad of handsets, what will Apple be doing this year? It is probable that they will continue on this path, as the iPhone XS and iPhone XS will need to get an upgrade as will the highly respectable iPhone XR, again how the naming convention will move on is anyone’s guess with X dictating the 10, they could go for 11, 11 Max and 11R, but who knows as they do like to shake things up a bit and with a bit of a global disappointment this time they are sure to want to smash things out of the ballpark.
Folding Phones
Of course, the recent launch event from Samsung has thrown down the gauntlet to all other mobile phone manufacturers when they announced the folding handset. While this has yet to hit the shelves other designers immediately started making noises that they had also already thought of that and it was of course in development. We have seen concepts for the folding iPhone, and it is also rumoured that they are patenting a heated screen for this version, but other rumours suggest that we are not likely to see the grand Apple folding offering until 2020 which means it will not be among the line up this year. No doubt as the month’s tick by more rumours will rise up, and we will keep you update with what we hear and what we think as they do.
