Updated New iPhone Rumours

As we begin counting down the weeks, there are more updated new iPhone  rumours being introduced to the tech world, and they’re exciting. From the devices names and their screen sizes to the components keeping them going, there are leaks around everything. We can be sure this is going to be an extremely high end smartphone, but will it carry a high price?

What can we expect?

With only a few months left until the supposed release of the new Apple device, there are hundreds of new iPhone rumours around right now. One rumour that we can be almost certain on is that the new iPhone is expected to arrive in September of this year. Most years Apple releases their devices in September so we’re not expecting them to change this up just yet. We can also be almost certain that this will be the new iPhone. The only time they pulled out of order with the names of the devices was on their 10th anniversary.

Currently, there are expectations that there will be 4 different versions of the new iPhone. This would include the standard iPhone, Pro and Pro Max followed by a lower tier version, perhaps the S. With each of these devices, you’ll get a slightly different screen size. The highest tier device is suggested to feature a 6.7 inch display with the Pro and standard new iPhone having a 6.1 inch display. Rumours suggest that the lowest tier device will have a much smaller 5.4 inch screen too. These will all be OLED screens however, some may have the higher 120Hx refresh rate.

Of course, joining all the new iPhone rumours is whispers surrounding pricings. Across the board, these smartphones have extremely low estimated prices. If these prices are anywhere near the actual costs, you’re looking at paying less than £1000 for the variant with the highest specs. The lowest tier smartphone would be sitting at around £600 with only a £100 increase to the next variant. Other rumours have suggested that prices will be sitting at the same level as the iPhone 11 range.

Recent New iPhone Rumours

We already know that we could be getting a much larger screen range with the new iPhone however, we could also receive an upgrade in the refresh rate side of things too. There are plenty of rumours suggesting that Apple may delve into 120Hz ProMotion displays for the higher tier models of this year. Essentially, this should make sure that the display automatically adjusts itself to different movements on screen. IT will also offer a much smoother picture and even quicker response rates. This has not yet been confirmed as it could hugely affect battery life on the iPhone.

Before, we used to see a very limited range of iPhone colours. Apple had a very few standard colours including Silver, Space Grey and Rose Gold. Not too long ago, they introduced a new Gold shade and have since released even more colour options on the iPhone 11 range. This introduced a whole new colour range with Green, Lilac and Yellow options being available. There were also a few new colour options for the higher variants. With the new iPhone, rumours suggest we could be getting a navy blue colour, completely different to anything we’ve seen from Apple before.

This isn’t actually the only new colour option expected to come to the new iPhone. In fact, there are talks that the midnight green that came to the 11 Pro will be available again. To add to this, the standard iPhone 12 is expected to come in even more exciting new colours. We’re still expecting to see the standard Black and White options, possibly the Red as well however, Violet, Light Blue and Light Orange options have all also been rumoured. This would really expand the market for Apple, targeting people who enjoy something a little more exciting.

Will it be 5G?

Currently, there are a few different rumours suggesting that the new iPhone will be compatible with 5G however, there are also opposing rumours. A lot of people believe that the tech company will continue to use their own generated chips, bringing the A14 out with the new iPhone. If so, there’s nothing to say whether or not it’s 5G compatible. Given the fact that most brands are bringing out 5G phones, it’s highly likely that Apple won’t be missing out. However, there are rumours suggesting that Apple will be exploring 5G, along with a new chipset.

Quite some time ago, Apple used to use Qualcomm chips, just like most other smartphones. They had a slight falling out however, settled their differences in April 2019. There have been rumours circling from an Apple analyst that all of the new iPhones will support 5G thanks to Qualcomm’s X55 5G chipset. This would offer the enjoyment of fast processing speeds along with faster upload and download speeds from 5G. You would of course need to pair a 5G ready deal with it.
